Tooth Coloured Fillings

If you are worried about a potential cavity or perhaps just seeking to replace unsightly silver fillings, Lander can offer you the solutions you need. We offer composite fillings or ceramic inlays, both of which can be matched to your existing tooth colour.

Composite fillings are a mix of silicon dioxide (glass) and plastic resins that can restore teeth to an attractive, healthy state. They are a tooth coloured, relatively cheap and versatile option when the bulk of the tooth remains healthy and the decay or damage is not extensive. Our clinicians are trained to meticulously match your filling to your existing teeth to give an attractive, smooth, natural looking finish. For back teeth we have developed stronger composites that are even more durable for hard wear.

For more heavily filled or broken down teeth Lander offers the possibility of restoring the damaged part of your tooth with a porcelain inlay.

To do this Lander has invested in the CEREC™ machine – one of the most advanced machines available in dentistry. This state-of-the-art equipment enables us to take high resolution 3D digital images of your tooth and design a restoration that will perfectly match your existing teeth in terms of its shape, colour and natural fit. Our dentists have complete control over every aspect of the design and are able to accommodate all aesthetic considerations. Once the design is finalised, the machine mills the inlay in our surgery and we are then able to fit this in the same appointment, meaning we can rejuvenate your smile in just one sitting and you can get on with your busy life.

The result is a beautiful, near invisible repair that is incredibly hard wearing and easy to look after. Both our tooth coloured composite fillings and ceramic inlays are highly durable and will reduce sensitivity to heat, giving you a better quality of life after treatment compared to amalgam fillings.
