Mark Pimble is the principal dentist at Lander Dentistry.
He qualified from Birmingham University in 1979 and gained his early experience in general practice in Lichfield Staffs and Sutton Coldfield. In 1988, Mark and his family moved to Cornwall, where he led the Kimberley Park Dental practice in Falmouth before becoming a partner at Lander in 1999.
Mark has consistently developed his career with ongoing post-graduate learning, gaining a Diploma in General Dental Practice from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1997 and a Certificate in Surgical and Prosthetic Implantology from Eastman Dental Institute in London in 2001. He has been placing implants more than 15 years and has continually updated his knowledge with further implant courses.
As his career has progressed Mark has become more involved with Orthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. He completed an advanced Cosmetic Dentistry Certificate Course in London in 2008 and has been a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since then.
Mark has advanced training with Invisalign and is an active member of the MiSmile Invisalign Network.
Mark now works with Invisalign and has completed a large number of cases to become one of the most experienced Invisalign providers in Devon and Cornwall.

Originally from Stoke On Trent, Garrath qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2006, with a distinction in restorative dentistry and prizes for his overseas elective project, which looked at dentistry in Vietnam.
With an interest in restorative dentistry, Garrath is in the final stages of writing his masters degree in endodontics (root canal treatment). Prior to his relocation to Cornwall, he worked in private practice in Liverpool and Manchester, and also taught as a clinical tutor at the University of Liverpool. Receiving referrals from other dentists to treat complex root canal cases.

Andrew’s philosophy within dentistry is that prevention is better than cure. He regularly provides both high quality preventative general family dentistry, along with more complex treatment to restore mouths affected by decay, wear, gum disease, or a deteriorating appearance.
His area of special interest is Endodontics, which is the branch of dentistry concerned with saving teeth other dentists would typically remove. In 2018 he was awarded a Master’s Degree in Endodontics, with Distinction, from King’s College London, at the time ranked the second-best dental school in the world. He has been saving compromised teeth referred by other local dentists since 2015.

Nick Coley qualified at Kings College Hospital Dental School in 1982.
Always keen to improve his knowledge base he has attended numerous courses throughout his career both in the UK and abroad. Nick has attended a number of year-long certificate courses at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London studying Restorative Dentistry, Periodontology, Material Science, Implantology and Advanced Implantology.
He has recently passed the Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons, which is recognised as a leading implant qualification worldwide and has attended the Malo Clinic in Lisbon where Nick studied the All on 4 technique with professor Paulo Malo who originally developed it.
Nick is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and the International Team for Implantology both of which are rich sources of up to date knowledge in the field of Implantology.
Hygienist

Rachael qualified from Portsmouth University with a degree in Hygiene and Therapy in 2008 and then returned to Cornwall. She subsequently worked and adventured in New Zealand for a number of years before returning to Cornwall and joining Lander.
With a special interest in the scientific background to oral health and gum disease Rachael keeps up to date with the latest research and technology advances to provide patients with the best treatment possible. She has a gentle and friendly manner.
Rachael loves the outdoor life in Cornwall and enjoys paddle boarding with her cocker spaniel , coastal and mountain pursuits.

After working four years as a dental nurse in Cornwall I then went to Eastman dental hospital in London to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy where I achieved an award from the BADT (British Association of dental therapists) for outstanding achievement.
I have always lived in Cornwall and love to be on the water in my spare time. I am passionate about prevention and providing holistic care to patients.
After working four years as a dental nurse in Cornwall I then went to Eastman dental hospital in London to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy where I achieved an award from the BADT (British Association of dental therapists) for outstanding achievement. Mandie Wagstaff joined Lander in 2013 and she now has more than a decade of experience working as a dental nurse.
Mandie has a certificate in Radiology and gained her National Certificate in 2006. Mandie is registered with the General Dental Council, and she is also a member of the Association of Dental Implantology UK.

Jamie joined the practice in Nov 2017. She enjoys being a part of changing people’s smiles and seeing their confidence grow.
Jamie tries to keep in shape as much as a person can – who loves crisps! She cycles to work everyday rain or shine from Perranporth, to keep her carbon footprint down. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys travelling and socialising with her family and friends.

Danielle joined the practice in Oct 2014 and is now a fully qualified dental nurse with the Certificate in Dental Radiography. In Dec 17, she gave birth to a handsome baby boy, Huxley, who now takes up most of her and her husband Mick’s time.
Danielle is an animal lover and when she gets any spare time at all, enjoys walking her dog Poppy along the north Cornwall coastline. Huxley is always in tow. She also enjoys yoga and keeping fit. Danielle and her husband are very keen Winter sports people and spend most of their annual leave during the winter months in the French Alps.

Mia joined Lander Dental & Implant Clinic in April 2018.
She very much enjoys her role and knew this was the practice for her, Mia loves being part of the process to help improve our patient’s quality of life through improving their smiles and believes this makes everything worthwhile.
Outside of work she is very active and likes to keep fit both in the gym and exploring the beautiful Cornish countryside. She’s also quite the Mary Berry in the kitchen when It comes to baking, which her lovely colleagues will agree with.

Kelly is an accomplished dental nurse with excellent personal and communication skills; always well-presented; passionate about dentistry and keen to advance her career.
In her spare time Kelly takes daily care and exercises her horse, attending competitions and training sessions on weekends. She also surfs and regularly attends the gym.

Dr Charlotte Buscombe BMBS (Distinction), BA (Hons), MRCP, DLM, is our fully qualified doctor with a specialist interest in facial aesthetics.
Charlotte has undertaken advanced training in facial aesthetics medicine and as an ophthalmology (eye surgery) registrar has an adept eye for for detail, comprehensive knowledge of facial anatomy, and invaluable surgical experience. Expertise and professionalism lie at the core of the treatments delivered at Lander and Charlotte’s gentle yet confident approach, using only market-leading proven treatments, ensures clients receive a service they can trust.
Business Development & Marketing Manager
Sue Mitchell joined Lander in 2016. She has extensive experience working with large corporate organisations developing sales, marketing and communication strategies.
Sue also has considerable expertise in customer service and is passionate about customer care. She is responsible for Marketing and communicating Lander’s commitment to patient care, focusing on the patient experience as a whole within the practice.
Practice Manager
Alyson joined the Practice in Apr 2010, with 30 years experience in the military, corporate and private dental sectors. She is a qualified Healthcare Manager and has various qualifications and experience in project management, training and development, IT and counselling.
In her spare time, Alyson works for the RFU Injured Players Foundation. She also enjoys renovating property, animal welfare and the beautiful Cornish coastline.
New Patient Coordinator
Monique has been at Lander for almost two years. She enjoys meeting and talking to new and different people each day, which keeps her role interesting, and helping patients through their dental journey making them feel comfortable and ultimately being part of a fun team.
She moved to Cornwall from New Zealand in 2016 with her Cornish fiancé whom she met whilst travelling. Monique enjoys and appreciate the simple things in life and is happiest when out in nature, be it hiking or snowboarding, reading in the sunniest spots or simply doing anything “hands-on” like nurturing her ever growing collection of indoor plants, preparing a home cooked meal or getting creative with a paint brush.
Receptionist
Barbara has been at Lander for 44 years. Her role is to organise the day for the dentists and hygienists and to help patients have the best possible experience at the practice.
Her favourite part of the job is dealing with patients of all ages and getting to know them personally, chatting and having a laugh with them and making their experience more pleasant especially if they are a bit nervous. Barbara also enjoys following patients from start to finish and seeing their confidence shine through when they complete their treatments.
Outside of the practice Barbara cares for her elderly mum and has just become a great Godmother to Savannah Grace who was born on 17th July 2018. She enjoys socialising, clothes shopping (particularly online!), gardening and sitting in the garden; and also loves watching; ‘I’m a Celebrity, Big Brother and Love Island (apologies to those who don’t!)
Receptionist
Emma joined the practice in 2016. The thing she loves most about her job is the patients, especially being able to help and support people through complex treatments. She says that ‘It’s a real honour to be able to witness patient transformations and share that journey with them’.
Outside of the practice Emma is an avid reader and has a real passion for Art and Music (she has degree in Fine Art). Most of her spare time is spent with her husband visiting exhibitions and attending concerts. Emma also really loves the outdoors especially coast walks and more recently gardening.
Receptionist
Catherin has been at lander for 7 months. She loves when patients have finished their treatment plan and are happy and confident with their new smile. She also enjoys making patients feel welcome and relaxed when they come in to the practice.
In her spare time, Catherin spends time with friends going for walks, exploring Cornish beaches or going for dinner.
