Andrew Paterson | BDS, MJDF, MSc (Endodontics), LLB, GDC Number 244207
Dentist with Special Interest in Endodontics
Andrew’s philosophy within dentistry is that prevention is better than cure. He regularly provides both high quality preventative general family dentistry, along with more complex treatment to restore mouths affected by decay, wear, gum disease, or a deteriorating appearance.
His area of special interest is Endodontics, which is the branch of dentistry concerned with saving teeth other dentists would typically remove. In 2018 he was awarded a Master’s Degree in Endodontics, with Distinction, from King’s College London, at the time ranked the second-best dental school in the world. He has been saving compromised teeth referred by other local dentists since 2015.
He also enjoys working with white filling material and crowns to help teeth to continue to look and feel as natural as possible, as well as improving their appearance when necessary.
Andrew was born and raised in Whitstable, on the north Kent coast, which is where he developed his love of living by the sea. He has since lived in Durham, Manchester, and Groningen in the Netherlands, before settling in Falmouth with his wife in 2013. He can often be found attempting to surf on the north coast or eating cream tea at the nearest National Trust property.
